About Me
I've been a comics fan for a long time. I was paid with comic books for my first job - assisting the local paper boy deliver the daily newspaper. My mom wouldn't let me keep the 25 cent weekly salary that came with the job, so he bought the books and passed them along to me after he read them.
I was addicited at the early age of 5 1/2.
It wasn't long after that I started to copy the pictures. What role models - Jack Kirby, Curt Swan, Dick Ayers, Don Heck, Gil Kane, Joe Sinnott, Carmine Infantino, Wally Wood and Steve Ditko. The blank newsprint that wrapped the bundles of newspaper and crayons developed into pencil, ink & bristol board as the years went on. New role models emerged - the likes of John Buscema, John Byrne, Klaus Janson, Bob Mcleod, Terry Austin and Tom Palmer. Copying pictures gave way to creating my own. Attending Ivy School of Professional Art honed those skills and introduced me to different techniques and led me to create in different ways. And now the bug has bit me again...
